MUSCLE CAR BUFFS will recognize the narrow-broad-narrow rally stripes on GMS Special Edition G28 Acrylic drumsets and snare drums. Associated with the legendary GTOs, Firebirds, Camaros, and Cutlass Supremes of the 70s, this stripe pattern is available exclusively from GMS. G28 stripes are welded into the company's 1/4" thick, premium-quality acrylic shells.

GMS Special Edition drums unique lug design relieves stress on the shell while minimizing lug mass and footprint (shell contact area) to maximize resonance. New Special Edition long snare drum lugs provide improved shell support under high-tension tuning. This superior design complements the acrylic shells naturally focused sound and exceptional power and projection.

GMS Special Edition G28 Acrylic drums are available in nine color combinations including:
white stripes over transparent red, light blue, dark blue, amber, or green; gloss black stripes over amber or silver sparkle; and silver sparkle stripes over gloss black.

::GMS Unveils Limited-Edition 20th Anniversary Snare Drum

To commemorate its 20th anniversary, GMS Drum Co. has created a very special limited-edition snare drum. The GMS 20th Anniversary Snare Drum features a nine-ply ash shell comprised of eight plies of North American white Ash with an outer ply of highly figured North American olive ash burl.  Eight-ply North American maple retainer rings are beveled on both upper and lower edges to mellow sonic reflection inside the shell.

In a nod to fine vintage drums, the GMS 20th Anniversary Snare Drum is fitted with eight lugs, giving it a warmer tone and slightly softer feel than today’s standard ten-lug models.  With the vent hole repositioned, the drum has a fatter sound, balancing the significant high-end cut delivered by the nine-plus-eight ply configuration.  “This drum has warmth and bite,” says GMS President and Master Craftsman, Tony Gallino.  “It’s got an old style vibe, but it will also rip your head off.”

Finishing touches include GMS’s new Special Edition snare drum lugs and classy 20th anniversary logo embedded in the lacquer.

Orders for the limited-edition GMS 20th Anniversary Snare Drum will be taken through 2007.  MSRP $1,250.

GMS worked closely with world-renowned American drum shell manufacturer Keller to develop these 8-ply 100% ash shells. North American hard white ash is distinguished from maple, birch, oak, and mahogany by its exceptional punch and focus. Hena Habegger is featured on the new Gotthard live-album "MADE IN SWITZERLAND". The recording took place during their concert at the Hallenstadion of Zürich, in December 2005. There is also a special bounus DVD of the entire concert. The CD was released in Europe on April 28th and Internationally in May.

Our brand new CL "Subway Series" kits offer a professional sound in an extremely portable package. Five piece sets are configured with a 10 x 20 bass drum, 5.5 x 13 snare, and 5 x 10, 6 x12 and 7 x 14 toms.

The entire Subway set can be packed into two cases and easily transported. Sets are available with or without Hardware.

All CL Series drums start with 7 ply 100% Rock Maple shells, precision-cut 45 degree bearing edges and low-mass lugs.
